2015 Dodge Challenger maintenance schedule

The factory schedule for normal driving. Oil changes follow the oil-change indicator on most models; severe use (towing, dusty roads, lots of idling) shortens some intervals.

A dot means the service is due at that mileage or after that many years, whichever comes first. Engines: 3.6L, 5.7L.

Additional Inspections
Inspect the CV joints.
Inspect front suspension, tie rod ends, boot seals and replace if necessary.
Inspect the rear axle fluid.
Inspect the manual transmission fluid (if equipped), add as necessary.
Inspect the brake linings, replace as necessary.
Adjust park brake on vehicles equipped with four wheel disc brakes.
Additional Maintenance
Replace engine air filter.
Replace cabin/air conditioning filter.
Replace spark plugs (3.6L engine). **
Replace spark plugs (5.7L engine). **
Flush and replace the engine coolant at 10 years or 150,000 miles (240,000 km) whichever comes first.
Change the manual transmission fluid (if equipped) if using your vehicle for any of the following: Most of your driving is at sustained speeds during hot weather, above 90°F (32°C), driving in dusty conditions, or stop and go driving.
Change the rear axle fluid if using your vehicle for any of the following: police, taxi, fleet, off-road, or frequent trailer towing.
Inspect and replace PCV valve if necessary.

Once a month or before a long trip

  • Check engine oil level.
  • Check windshield washer fluid level.
  • Check tire pressure and look for unusual wear or damage. Rotate tires at the first sign of irregular wear, even if it occurs before your next scheduled service.
  • Check the fluid levels of the coolant reservoir, brake master cylinder, and power steering and fill as needed.
  • Check function of all interior and exterior lights.

At every oil change interval as indicated by oil change indicator system

  • Change oil and filter.
  • Rotate the tires. Rotate at the first sign of irregular wear, even if it occurs before your next scheduled service.
  • Inspect battery and clean and tighten terminals as required.
  • Inspect brake pads, shoes, rotors, drums, hoses and park brake.
  • Inspect engine cooling system protection and hoses.
  • Inspect exhaust system.
  • Inspect engine air cleaner if using in dusty or off-road conditions.

Severe duty (all models)

  • Change engine oil at 4000 miles (6,500 km) if the vehicle is operated in a dusty and off-road environment.

Oil change limits

  • Oil change intervals must never exceed 10,000 miles (16,000 km) or twelve months, whichever comes first.
  • Under severe operating conditions the oil change message can appear as early as 3,500 miles (5,600 km) after the last reset; service within the next 500 miles (805 km).

Spark plug interval

  • The spark plug change interval is mileage based only; yearly intervals do not apply.
